Mrs. LaTrelle Fitzpatrick Smith, 85, of 125 Eastland Drive, Salisbury, and formerly of Kannapolis, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Genesis ElderCare in Salisbury. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Shadybrook Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of her son, Jimmy Hester, 125 Eastland Drive, Salisbury. Born January 1, 1921, in Madison County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Jesse G. Fitzpatrick and Bertha Bond Fitzpatrick. She was a 1938 graduate of Cannon High School and retired from the sewing room of Cannon Mills after 43 years of employment. She was a lifelong member of Shadybrook Baptist Church and taught Line-dancing and Square-dancing at the Murdock Senior Center in Kannapolis from 1990 to 2003. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, James W. "Jack" Hester and Wayne A. Smith; and two daughters, Frances F. Moore and Jenny Dee Smith. Survivors include her son, James W. "Jimmy" Hester, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Salisbury; five grandchildren, Patrick L. Moore, Greg W. Moore, Mona Smith, James " J.R." Roberts, Jr. and Becky Roberts; and six great-grandchildren.
