Laura Ann Barger Pless

Mrs. Laura Ann Barger Pless, 95, of 4035 N. Cannon Blvd, Landis, NC, died Saturday, September 13, 2003, at Morningside Assisted Living Center in Concord. Services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2003, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Landis. Rev. Jarrod Lanning will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends 7 to 9:00 PM Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Mrs. Pless was born May 10, 1905 in Rowan County. She was the daughter of the late J.H.A. Barger and Catherine Lyerly Barger. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Landis. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Pless. She and her husband owned and operated Pless Laundry and Cleaners of China Grove. Mrs. Pless is survived by her son, Jerry Pless of Landis; two grandchildren, Sharon Russell and Patty Williams, both of China Grove; three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
