Laurel May Smith

Mrs. Laurel May Donaldson Smith, 87, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Smith was born on December 7, 1925 in Throop, NY. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Donaldson and Edith Emery Donaldson. She retired as an office manager for an Ophthalmologist. Mrs. Smith was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and also enjoyed reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ronald Smith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Susan Jean Scott of Kannapolis and Sherryl Lynn Fradenburg of Durham; two sons, Terrance James Oliver of Verona, NY and Thomas John Oliver of Salt Lake City, UT; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
