Larry joined the Order Of The Eastern Star and was Worthy Patron for 6 times, he served 5 of those times in the East with his wife and we had a great time. Larry also became a Grand Representative to Ohio and again to Vermont. We did a lot of traveling for the Mason’s and Eastern Star. It was a life we love. Larry became a member of Newell Chapter #344 of Newell, NC. This past March he became Worthy Patron with Worthy Matron Greta Torrence.
I know Larry is at rest and the hurting is no more. I know in my heart as Larry was going home to the bridge we all cross over, I call it the Rainbow Bridge, because that is the bridge he will cross because waiting there and wagging her tail is his beautiful Katelyn, she has gathered with her all her cats to greet their Daddy home.
I will miss you honey, I will carry on because I know you are with me always. Until we meet again I love you.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four sisters, Marie, Delores, Lenora and Frances; and three brothers, William, Robert and Donald Atwell.
Larry leaves the love of his life, Jacqueline "Jackie" Perkins Atwell, they celebrated their 37 wedding anniversary on September 19th; and two brothers, Richard Atwell and Phillip Atwell, both of Philadelphia. He also leaves his two “mutton heads”, the two cats, Sissy and Spanky. He told Jackie that they visited him a couple of nights at the rehab center, she told him that was great.
