Lawrence Ree Cartner

Lawrence Ree Cartner, 68, of Oakdale Court, China Grove, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the W. G. "Bill" Hefner Medical Center in Salisbury. Military graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Salisbury National Cemetery. Born February 5, 1940 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Golie Ree Cartner and Bertha Irene Keller Cartner. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Lawrence was a retired journeyman electrician. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay Kimble of the home; two stepsons, Richard Lewis Meyer of Gold Hill and Kenneth Mundy of Washington.
