Lawrence Perley Vincent

Mr. Lawrence Perley Vincent, 85, of 289 South Circle Drive NW, Concord, died at his residence, Wednesday, September 14, 2005, following three months of declining health. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2005, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jim Bowen will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by DAV Chapter 27 of Concord. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born June 12, 1920, in Massachusetts, he formerly owned and operated Fleetwood Dry Cleaners. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jane Vincent, who died May 4, 2002 and a daughter, Phyllis Vincent. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Richardson and husband, Dale, of Winston Salem and Janie Halyburton of Concord; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
