Lelia Bowlin

Mrs. Lelia Lyles Bowlin, 84, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 pm, Monday, July 16, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bowlin was born on September 26, 1927 in Charlottesville, VA. She was the daughter of the late Franklin Lyles and Minnie Stirewalt Lyles. Mrs. Bowlin worked as a weaver at Cannon Mills and Corriher Mills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dewey Bowlin, on October 24, 2011 and grandson, Eric Bowlin on September 6, 2001.

Mrs. Bowlin is survived by daughters, Donna Bunton of Rockwell and Geraldine Dotson and husband Jack of Hallsville, TX; sons, Dewey Bowlin and wife Marcia of Mt. Pleasant and Aron "Tim" Bowlin and wife Collene of Pinehurst; brother, Louis Bowlin and wife, Janie of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
