I read the obituary in the Charlotte Observer today.
We always enjoyed being together, espicially @ the Presbyterian luncheon on Wednesday while I was serving in Kannapolis.
I know Leon was so very committed to the Lord and church.

Lula and family, just want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Leon was always such a good hearted man. He will be rememberd for all the good things he has done for others for a long time to come. Harold and I always thought of him as one for our dearest kin. He was always the same loving person every time you would see him.
Lula Mae and family, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Leon was such a kind man and I know he will be sorely missed. I apologize for not being able to be with you all, but due to family illnesses here, Bob and I will be unable to attend the family & friends gathering and funeral.
