Mr. Leonard Edward Ellsworth, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, November 25, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert D. Howard will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Ellsworth was born December 30, 1932. He was a son of the late Roscoe Mitchell Ellsworth, Sr. and Myrtle Jane Lambert Ellsworth. He worked for Burlington Mills in the carpenter shop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. “Pop” as he was known as, enjoyed building furniture, homes, and anything for his family and friends.
