Leroy Kenneth Meeker

Leroy Kenneth Meeker, 90, of Alexis Court, Concord, NC and formerly of Succasunna, NJ, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at his home. Born April 7, 1920 in Dover, NJ, he was the son of the late Theodore A. Meeker and Edith Slate Meeker. He retired from Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ, where he was director of the nuclear weapons division. Mr. Meeker was a member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Succasunna, NJ. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Cecelia Conway Meeker; three daughters, Cecelia V. Honickman and husband Stephen Honickman of Punta Gorda, FL, Judith Rossi and husband Carmine Rossi of Port Charlotte, FL, Jane E. Norris and husband James Norris, Sr. of Concord; a sister, Edith Stites of Dover, NJ; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 179 South Hillside Avenue, Succasunna, NJ 07876.
