Lewis Sweatt

Mr. Lewis Sweatt, 74, of 1021 Ebenezer Road, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004, at the Charles A. Cannon, Jr. Memorial Hospital in Linville, NC, following a sudden illness. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Born January 19, 1930, in Davidson County, NC, he was a son of the late John Henry Sweatt and Addie Peacock Sweatt. He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon and also operated Sweatt Used Cars. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Cook Sweatt; two daughters, Jean Sherrill and her husband, Ron, of Kannapolis and Carole Lewis of Kannapolis; a sister, Shelby Norwood of Gastonia; and a granddaughter, Tara Lewis of Kannapolis.
