Lillian Geouge Joines

Mrs. Lillian Geouge Joines, 82, of 3706 Wesley Chapel Road, Monroe, died Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Lake Park Nursing Center in Indian Trail. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Frank Alexander will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born September 12, 1920, in Mitchell County, NC, she was a daughter of Carrie Thomas Geouge and the late Elzie Geouge. She retired several years ago as a buyer with Sears and Roebuck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred David Joines, who died December 12, 1983. Survivors in addition to her mother include a son, Larry Joe Joines of Monroe; and a brother, Joe Geouge of Frederick, MD.
