Linda Gaynelle Burroughs Ritchie

Ms. Linda Gaynelle Burroughs Ritchie, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from her home in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 pm Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Rodgers Park Reformed Church. Rev. Allen Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 12:15 pm Thursday at the church.

Linda was born October 13, 1942 in Concord. She was the daughter of the late Elmer Dewey Burroughs, Jr. and Dorothy Williams Burroughs Ford. She was a member of Rodgers Park Reformed Church. She was formerly employed by Rowan-Salisbury Schools and was the Director of the Richard Petty Fan Club since the 1970's.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Dewitt Jerry Ford; and her fur baby, Charlie.

Linda is survived by two sons, Randall Ritchie and wife Chris of Kannapolis and Mark Ritchie and wife Lisa of China Grove; brother, Roger Burroughs and wife Sharoyn of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Jeremy Ritchie, Zackary Ritchie, Amanda Tucker and husband Brandon and Noah Ritchie; four great grandchildren, Kyler, Cheyanna, Branson and Addie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be sent to Rodgers Park Reformed Church, 704 East 22nd Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
