Linda Dextre

Linda Conway Dextre, of Sherwood Dr. in Kannapolis, passed away April 3, 2013 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House after a 3 year battle with cancer.

Linda was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on November 22, 1950 to the late Charles and Elizabeth Ryneer. She moved to North Carolina in 1971. Linda worked at Phillip Morris as a machine operator and retired after 25 years of service. After finding that retirement didn't suit her, she filled her days working in the grocery section of Super Target. She spent much of her time playing with her grandkids, whom she adored. Linda also loved to crochet and blessed others by volunteering her time to make prayer shawls and blankets for the Yahweh's Yarn ministry at her church, Charity Baptist.

Linda is survived by her three children, Jerry Conway and his wife Kristi, Mary Howell and her husband Darrin, and Christy Conway, all of Kannapolis; siblings, Robert Ryneer of Iowa, Charles Ryneer of California, and Karen Loftstead of Oregon; and step-mother June Ryneer of Oregon. She loved her grandchildren, Joe, Madison, Kate, Lyndsey, Brendon, Kamryn and Holly. She had a great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Ryneer and Jean Winner.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 7 from 2 to 4:00 pm at Charity Baptist Church in Kannapolis.
