Linda Tucker Merklein

Mrs. Linda Tucker Merklein, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at her residence.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, March 10, 2017, at Lakewood Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Leigh, Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev. Chad Harvey will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Friday at Lakewood Baptist Church.

Mrs. Merklein was born November 3, 1943 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Jadie and Virginia Tucker. She retired from Pass & Seymour and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carl Merklein, Sr.

Mrs. Merklein is survived by her daughter, Cindy Beaver of Concord; Brandon Beaver of Acworth, GA; brother, Jerry Tucker of Kannapolis; and three grandchildren, Brandon Beaver, Jr., Derek Beaver and Jasper Furr.
