Lollie Stamey

June 3, 1929 — July 1, 2012

Mrs. Lollie Schenck Stamey, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sam Crisp will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 12:00 am, Thursday, prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home.

Born June 3, 1929 at their home on Old Concord Road, China Grove, she was the daughter of Mary Sprinkle Schenck and Shirley B. Schenck.

She grew up in the Ebenezer Lutheran Church Community and never left it. She graduated from Landis High School in 1947 and went to work at Cannon Mills where she worked over 40 years. She attended Ebenezer Lutheran Church until 1972 when she and her husband joined Rockwell Church of God where she played the piano occasionally. They moved their membership to West A Church of God in 2005. She was a member of the Young At Heart Class.

In addition to her parents, she was precede in death by a sister, Hazil Schenck.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Stamey, Jr.; daughter, Belinda Dishman (James) of Statesville; son, Dennis Michael Stamey (Patricia) of Rockwell; three grandchildren, Angie Hancock (Joey), Ricky Wayne Barnhardt and Sandy Corriher (Ted) of China Grove; six great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Schenck (Gale).
