Lonnie Ray Pinnix

Mr. Lonnie Ray Pinnix, 82, of 2326 Beaver Pond Road, Kannapolis, died Sunday, October 22, 2006, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Flow Harris Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Christine M. Conrath will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born March 5, 1924, in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Samuel Pinnix and Genettie Garrison Pinnix. A member of Flow Harris Presbyterian Church, he worked as a carpenter and service station attendant for many years, and later was employed by Atlantic American Properties. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Hough Pinnix; son, Ricky Ray Pinnix of Kannapolis; and a sister, Vurlia Moore of King.
