Louise Crook

Mrs. Louise Melton Crook, 90, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, at Five Oaks Manor.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 pm Friday, March 11, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive loved ones and friends from 11 to 12:15 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Crook was born November 28, 1925 in Chesterfield County, SC. She was the daughter of the late William Harley Melton and Linnie Adams Melton. She worked for Everett McKinley as a bookkeeper and was a charter member of Genesis Baptist Church. She loved to travel, knit and read. Her most treasured times were spent with her grandsons. Louise was full of wisdom, laughter and so much love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Crook.

Mrs. Crook is survived by her brother, Rev. Ralph Melton of Columbus, GA; and two, grandsons, Jason Crook and wife Angie of Concord and Christopher Crook of Myrtle Beach, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Genesis Baptist Church, 9710 Old Concord Road, China Grove, NC 28023.
