Louise Honeycutt

Mrs. Louise Simpson Honeycutt, 91, went to be with her Lord Monday, February 22, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis with her family at her side.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, February 26, 2016, at Eastwood Baptist Church. Rev. Randall Ritchie and Rev. Gary Norris will officiate, with special words spoken by Rev. Don Davis. The body will lie in-state at the church from 10:30 am - 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Honeycutt was born March 10, 1924 in Union County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Roy Adam Simpson and Pearl Louise Richardson Simpson. She worked for Terry Products as a seamstress. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Honeycutt; and two brothers, Hernon Simpson and Melburn Simpson.

Mrs. Honeycutt is survived by daughter, Joyce Holman and husband David of Kannapolis; two sons, Larry Honeycutt and wife Roxane of Charlotte and Tim Honeycutt and wife Rhonda of Kannapolis; sister, Ora Lee Davis of Kannapolis; aunt, Blanche Honeycutt; nine grandchildren, David Holman, Jr. (Ramona), Shannon H. Joyce (Britt), Amanda Mincey (Brent), Jennifer Honeycutt, Jonathan Honeycutt (Ashley), Lori White (Richie), Nick Honeycutt (Adanna), Alycia Honeycutt (David Finch Sr), and Corey Bumgarner (Kara Hartman); nineteen great-grandchildren, Jordan Holman, Marisa Holman, Gavin Mincey, Isabella Honeycutt, Aubrey Honeycutt, Andy Nichols, Chandler Honeycutt, Kayla Norris (Michael), Cody White, Sarah White, Aden Honeycutt, Liam Honeycutt, Kalika Adams, Jeremiah Adams, David Finch Jr., MaKenzie Hartman, Konnor Hartman, Hannah Hartman, and Torren Bumgarner; and three great-great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Wrenn, Ryker Saltz, and Mason Norris.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
