Lucille Deal Bowles

Mrs. Lucille Deal Bowles, 99, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. David and Kathy Walker will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bowles was born December 27, 1918 in Taylorsville, NC. She was a daughter of the late Jim Blaine Deal and Julia Harrington Deal. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked in the washcloth department.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Walter Bowles; and nine brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Bowles is survived by two daughters, Clara Corl and husband Tom of China Grove and Phyllis Tucker and husband Cecil of Kannapolis; brother, Elboyd Deal and wife Shelia of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
