Lucille Hatley

Mrs. Lucille Sartain Hatley, 84, of Klondale Avenue passed away Friday, November 9, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She was born on April 1, 1928, in Madison County, GA, a daughter of the late G.O. Sartain and Mazelle Graham Sartain. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, November 12, 2012 in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chuck Overcash will officiate. Burial to follow at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Oakboro Cemetery in Oakboro. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. At other times the family will be at the home of her daughter, Sandra Lee, 606 Eddleman Road, Kannapolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Hatley; a daughter, Darlene Hatley Hudson; and a son Gerald D. Hatley. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Lee and fiance Rick Leon Sweatt; four grandchildren, Angela Dawn Seagraves, Brittney Nicole Lee, Amber Marie Lee and Brandon Eugene Lee; three great grandchildren, Damion Dante Seagraves, Michaela Darlene Seagraves and Jayden James Ward; sister, Martha Spencer; and a special friend, Roy Gene Benton. Lady's Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family of Mrs. Hatley.
