Lucille Hampton Stafford

Lucille Hampton Stafford, 86, died Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Five Oaks Manor in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Charles Shanahan, nephew of Mrs. Stafford, will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm Tuesday prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Stafford was born October 5, 1924 in Kannapolis. She was the daughter of the late Hiram C. Hampton and Odessa Mims Hampton. She worked at the lunch Counter for Belk Department Store in Kannapolis for over fifteen years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kannapolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Raymond Stafford, son, Raymond Stafford and brothers, Wesley Hampton and Bud Hampton. Mrs. Stafford is survived by daughter, Pamela Bachle and husband, Allie, and son, Steve Stafford and wife, Judy, all of Concord, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
