Mable Lucille Vanderburg Hendrix

Mrs. Mable Lucille Vanderburg Hendrix, 83, of Britthaven, Charlotte and formerly of East 13th Street Kannapolis, died Monday, January 12, 2009. Funeral services for Mrs. Hendrix will be conducted in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Billy Honeycutt will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Hendrix was born in Albemarle, NC on November 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Carl Vanderburg and Lilly Spivey Vanderburg. She has been a resident of Kannapolis most of her life and a member of Landis Baptist Church for over 60 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Bee Hendrix and a son, Johnny Brent Goodnight. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Aughtry of Charlotte, and step-children, Ray, David and Charles Hendrix and Glenda Jordan and Barbara Britt, 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
