Mae Heintz Sherrill

Mrs. Mae Heintz Sherrill, 92, formerly of Walker Street, Kannapolis, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Brian Center in Mooresville after two years of declining health. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Rev. Sarah Weaver will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 PM Saturday at the church. Mrs. Sherrill was born February 18, 1910 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Zeb Vance Heintz and Margaret Bost Heintz. She retired from the sewing room of Cannon Mills after 45 years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1927, and a life member of United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the St. James Sunday School Class, and the Crafty Ladies of Trinity. Mrs. Sherrill is preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred H. Gaddy and Arlene Heintz, and a brother, Norman "Gabe" Heintz. Mrs. Sherrill is survived by her son, Troy Sherrill, and his wife, Cindy, of Concord; sister, Frances H. Richardson of Kannapolis; three brothers, Gene Heintz of Concord, Max Heintz of Charlotte, and Everette Heintz of Kannapolis.
