Maggie Gainey Jackson

Mrs. Maggie Gainey Jackson, 87, of Lash Drive, Salisbury and formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, at The Laurels of Salisbury in Salisbury. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeff Upright and Rev. Tim Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Jackson was born October 17, 1923 in Chesterfield, SC. She was the daughter of the late Bill Gainey and Margeret Ann Brown Gainey. She worked for Cannon Mills Co. as a folder and was a member of God's Church of Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jackson on July 15, 1998. Mrs. Jackson is survived by a son, James Jackson of Kannapolis, NC.
