Major Everett Nicholas Case, Jr.

Major Everett Nicholas Case, Jr., age 84, of Morningside Assisted Living Center died Friday June 4, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Monday in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Major Mark Bell, Rev. Joey Spry and Major Allen Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 pm Monday prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Avon Park, Fl. at a later date. A Major with the Salvation Army, he retired in 1991, and had formerly served in Concord from 1965 until 1972. He was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on July 17, 1925, a son of the late Everett Nicholas Case, Sr. and Hattie Spiers Case. Survivors include his wife, Helen Henthorn Case, two daughters, Connie Case Sheets and her husband H.W. Jr., of Mooresville, and Ruth Anne Case Fetz and her husband Buddy of Kannapolis: one son, Everett Nicholas, III and wife Petra of Winchester, VA: four grandchildren, Katie Matthews, Colter Matthews, Josh Case and Nikki Griffith Deal and husband Jason.
