Mamie Tucker Moore

Mrs. Mamie Elizabeth Tucker Moore, 85, of Caremoor Retirement Center and formerly of Applewood Street, Kannapolis, died Saturday September 27, 2008 at CMC-NorthEast. Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be conducted in Parkwood Baptist Church, Tuesday September 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Steve Davis, Rev. Darrell Coble, Dr. Charles Harris and Rev. Joel Ervin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2008 at Lady's Funeral Home and headquarters will be at the home of her daughter, Betty Lambert, 601 Breckenridge Road, Kannapolis. Mrs. Moore was born January, 13, 1923 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late, George Lester Tucker and Lillie Mae Gulledge Tucker. She graduated from high school in Ruby, SC in 1940. She retired from Cannon Mills Plant #1 and formerly worked for Bitsy Bakery in Kannapolis She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harget Franklin Moore whom she married May 9, 1942, a daughter, Betty Moore Lambert and husband Barry of Kannapolis, two sons, Raymond Lamar Moore of Gold Hill and James Edward "Eddie" Moore and wife Glenna of Kannapolis, six grandchildren, Brian Michael Lambert and wife Carol, Brent Mark Lambert and wife Jane, Julie Moore Proctor, Jeffery Lamar Moore, Kelly Michelle Smith and husband J.D., and Lisa Marie Moore. Great-grandchildren include, Austin, Blake, Connor, and Barrett Lambert, Brianna and Michael Lambert, Madison Moore, Michaela Eagle and Hunter James Smith.
