Margaret Alia Brown

Mrs. Margaret Alia Smith Brown, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation in Flatrock.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Brown was born on January 21, 1928 in Rockingham. She was a daughter of the late John B. Smith and Avilla McIver Smith.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her two sons, John Steven "Steve" Brown and wife, Nancy, of Easley, SC and Tommy W. Benton; sister, Elizabeth Parks of Kannapolis; and granddaughter, Stephanie Brown Jackson and husband, Daniel of Easley, SC.
