Margaret Staton Brown

Mrs. Margaret Staton Brown, 90, died Friday, November 9, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, November 12, 2007, at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. Dr. Robert Peurifoy will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was born August 28, 1917 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Dexter A. Staton and Bertha Moore Staton. She was a retired employee of Cannon Mills and Sally's Beauty Shop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Brown, and three brothers and a sister. Mrs. Brown is survived by three sons, Michael G. Brown and Gary L. Brown, both of Salisbury and Richard W. Brown of Kannapolis; two sisters, Mildred Stiller of Greensboro and Hazel Peurifoy of Concord; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Transitional Health Services and the ICU of Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord for their loving care of Mrs. Brown.
