Margaret Virginia Crowell

Mrs. Margaret Virginia Hooks Crowell, 73, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, September 22, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Allen S. Montgomery will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2:00 pm Monday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Crowell was born on December 4, 1940 in Mecklenburg County. She was a daughter of the late Walter Eugene Hooks, Sr. and Ada Lee Stegall Hooks.

Mrs. Crowell is survived by her son, Gary Measimer and wife Robin, of Concord; sister, Betty Wilson of Kannapolis; two brothers, Julius Edward “Ed” Hooks and wife Martha, of Harrisburg and Walter E. “June” Hooks and wife Tammy, of Concord; two grandsons, Daniel and Bryan Measimer; and great granddaughter, Ava Measimer.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
