Margie Walter Basinger

Mrs. Margie Walter Basinger, 71, of 1210 Peeler Road, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Shiloh United Church of Christ Cemetery in Faith. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Basinger was born January 27, 1936 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late Earl Clifford Walter and Lillian Christy Walter. She was a bookkeeper for the Derrick Travel Plaza in Salisbury. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wayne Basinger, in 1997. Mrs. Basinger is survived by a daughter, Sharon B. Grubb and husband, Bobby, of Salisbury; a son, Greg Basinger and wife, Patricia, of Salisbury; three sisters, Mary Peeler of Salisbury, Helen Hall of Atlanta, GA, Joyce Wood of Lynchbury, VA; five grandchildren, Amanda Sheets, Stephanie Burleyson, Kymberly Grubb, Kent Basinger and Kendall Basinger; and one great grandchild, Kaleb Burleyson.
