Margie Elizabeth Jones

Margie Elizabeth Jones, 83, formerly of Skyland Street, Kannapolis, died Saturday, August 11, 2007, at her home at First Assembly Living Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Forest Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service. Margie was born in Cabarrus County on September, 29, 1923, a daughter of the late Spencer Jones and Bettie Gross Jones. She retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon after 43 years employment. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Spencer Jones, and a sister, Beulah Jones Deal. Survivors include a sister, Genover McDaniel, of Salisbury; nieces, Shirley Childers and husband, Troy, Peggy Barnhardt and husband Paul, Debby Duncan and husband Jamie, all of Kannapolis, Vicki Truman and husband Jeff, of Salisbury and Laura Ketchie of China Grove; nephews, Joe McDaniel and wife Sylvia, Jake McDaniel and wife, Page all of Salisbury, and Dale McDaniel and wife, Pam of Cleveland. Also surviving are many great and great-great nieces and nephews. The family and Margie, through her own note which she left, would like to thank the residents and staff at First Assembly Living Center for being so loving and kind during her stay there. She would also like to remind her family of the special love she has had for each of them, and may God bless you all.
