Marilyn "Dottie" Richardson

Mrs. Marilyn "Dottie" Richardson, 74, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Rodney Maddox will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Dottie was born April 23, 1948 in Cleveland County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Maddox, Sr. and Adele Griggs-Maddox. She retired from BAYADA Home Health Care where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and previously worked for Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Goodman, Evelyn Johnson and Bonnie White; four brothers, Thomas J. Maddox, Jr., Calvin Maddox, Waddell Maddox and Bobby Dean Maddox.

Dottie is survived by her husband, Robert D. Richardson; two daughters, April Dixon of Waldorf, MD and Devonia Mason and husband Joe of China Grove; six grandchildren, DJ, Cadarreus, Arianna, Devin, Mariah and Darion; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
