I have known Marvin all my life. I have fond memories of our families doing things together. It was always evident that Marvin was a Christian and he loved Jesus with all of this heart. Even when he was wheel chair bound he came to visit my Grandpa John in the nursing home! That meant a lot to all of us! His life was a true testament of Godly character! I will miss him at the lake in the summers and hearing him pray before we eat. I will also miss him when we gather to eat at mom's house. I love you all and we will continue to keep your family in our prayers. I can just see him being welcomed in heaven first by the Jesus he loved and served and then by his loving wife Evelyn! Our loss is heaven's gain!
Doug & Jenny, my deepest sympathy in the passing your Dad. My Dad had nothing but love and tremendous admiration for his "Uncle Marvin". I know they are in heaven talking about old times! You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Jenny, I am so sorry to read of the death of your dear father, but as others have said, he lived a good long life, and made many friends along the way. He will be sorely missed by all of us. I say us, because my first thought at seeing his picture was, "I know this man1" Seconds later, I knew how. He was the same age as my dad, who was also a member of the N. Kannapolis Lions club. I dare say they knew each other well, or I would not remember his face. Jenny, even though he had many years, I know you will miss your dad very much. My 'advice' is to feel the pain for a season and then go on. The roads of life are never too long, when Jesus Christ walks with us. Kindest regards, Bea Childs
Doug and Jenny, my sincere condolences for your Fathers passing. We all have lived a long and fruitful life. I look to see all our loved ones on the other side some day.
Doug and Jenny: I'm soo sorry for the loss of your father. I will miss my sweet neighbor and wonderful human being. I loved listening him talk about his life. He will be missed by many. Let me know if I can help in any way.
Jenny and Doug,
I am so sorry to here of your dad's death at this time. I am in Massachusetts and my flight home isn't until next Tuesday. Please know that you are all in my prayers. I have never met a man as well respected by everyone as your dad. He was the epitome of what every man should be. He will be sorely missed.
Jenny, This a sad time for sure but your Dad had a long rich life. I recall him well as your father and a friend to my parents going
back to Central Motor Lines days. Just recall and enjoy the warm memories.
Love & Regards,
Mike Yorke
Heaven gained another angel. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Eric, Jennie and family I am very sorry for your loss. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Mr. Brothers. The world would be a much better place if more people were just half as good of a person as he was. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of loss.
