Mary Watts Barnhardt

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Watts Barnhardt, 74, of 900 Ruth Avenue, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2009, at Bethany Bible Church. The Rev. Bobby Sutherland will officiate. Graveside rites will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Thursday at Bethany Bible Church. At other times, they will be at her residence. Mrs. Barnhardt was born February 3, 1934 in Pageland, SC. She was a daughter of the late Dave Watts and Annie Knight Watts. She retired from the Pillow Dept. of Fieldcrest-Cannon where she worked as a hemmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Barnhardt, who died August 6, 1984. Mrs. Barnhardt is survived by daughter, Ann Moore and husband, Robert of Mooresville; son, David Barnhardt and wife, Vicki of Kannapolis; adopted son, Paul Clawson of Kannapolis; a sister, Rosa Boyd of Spencer; nine grandchildren, Tabatha Morton, Jennifer Aldridge, Michael Rumple, Robbie Moore, David Lee Barnhardt, Codi Purvis, Ashley Jones, Amber Jones and Aprille Moore; nine great grandchildren, Dustin Morton, Terry Morton, III, Michael Rumple, Jr., Christopher Rumple, Larry Aldridge, Jr., Hannah Aldridge, Gage Moore, McKenna Jones, and Karmyn Barnhardt.
