Mary Elizabeth Brown

Mary Elizabeth Brown, of Palaside Drive, NE, Concord, died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Morningside Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Epworth United Methodist Church with Dr. Glenn Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Ms. Brown was born in High Point, a daughter of the late E. Y. Brown and Lottie Fink Brown. She graduated from Cannon High School in Kannapolis and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Concord. Ms Brown was employed by Cannon Mills as a time keeper in the Weave Room from 1941 until her retirement in 1985. Surviving her are her caregivers, Benny and Patsy McKheean. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to Epworth United Methodist Church, 1030 Burrage Road, NE, Concord, NC 28025, in memory of Ms. Brown. A special thank you to the staff of Morningside Assisted Living, for the loving care of Ms Brown. The family will make headquarters at the home of Benny and Patsy McKheean, 1203 Venus Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
