Mary Jo Daily

Mrs. Mary Jo Young Daily, 90, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Sven Behm will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:00 pm, Sunday, prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Daily was born on September 15, 1922 in Davie County. She was the daughter of the late Phillip Samuel Young and Sarah Alma Brinegar Young. She retired as the Office Manager of Daily Manufacturing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Mary Lucy Young; brother, Phillip Samuel Young, Jr. and grandson, Donovan Daily.

Mrs. Daily is survived by her husband, James William Daily, Jr.; daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Shain Daily of Rockwell and Catherine "Kitty Jo" Daily Allen and husband, William of San Jose, CA; sons, James William Daily, III and wife Ruth of Kannapolis and Richard A. Daily and wife Sherry of Cary; half sister, Mary Phyllis McGill and husband Mickey of Camp Verde, AZ; sister-in-law, Louise Young; brother, Harold Cope Young of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren, Jimmy Daily, Anne Daily, Jackie Edwards and husband Jonathan, Lisa Allen, Amanda Demsky and husband Steve, Michael Daily, Josh Stewart and Lorena Daily wife of the late Donovan Daily; great granddaughter, Emily Nicole Daily.
