Mary Frances David Scott

Mrs. Mary Frances David Scott, 98, formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at Spring Valley Nursing Center in Elberton, GA.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate.

Mrs. Scott was born August 3, 1924 in Hart County, GA. She was a daughter of the late Sam David and Mattie Ruby Daniel David. She was a member of the former Lane Street Baptist Church now Lakeview Baptist Church. She retired in May 1984 from Cannon Mills in Plant #1, where she was a warper tender in the #7 Spinning Room.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. J. Scott; three sisters, Dorothy Dawkins, Reba Rousey and Eunice Beck; and two brothers, Clifford David and Allen David.

Mrs. Scott is survived by a brother, Bobby David of Atlanta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Barbara Beck who took care of her.

Special recognition is given to Joann Goins of Kannapolis for taking care of Mary while in Kannapolis.
