Mary Odessa Easley Lowder

Mrs. Mary Odessa Easley Lowder, 94, of 1318 Washington Lane, Kannapolis, died Sunday, December 21, 2003, at Five Oaks Manor. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the famiy will be at the residence of Mrs. Lowder. Mrs. Lowder was born May 20, 1909 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Joseph F. Easley and Emma J. Mesimer Easley. She was a homemaker. In her younger years, she worked in the Spinning Room of Cannon Mills. Mrs. Lowder, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie L. Lowder, in July 1972, a son, Joe Tom Mason, and two grandchildren. Mrs. Lowder is survived by two daughters, Joyce Allen of Kannapolis and Emma Hargett of Concord; three sons, Leonard M. Mason, Edward Earl Mason, and Johnny Lawrence Mason, all of Kannapolis; two half-brothers, Marion Easley and Reece Easley, both of Concord; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.
