Mary Nesbitt Hinson

Mrs. Mary Nesbitt Hinson, 86, of 505 Walter Street, Kannapolis, died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Avante at Concord. A graveside service with interment to follow will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Robert D. Howard will officiate. Born April 15, 1919, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Arch Nesbitt and Harriet Emma Christy Nesbitt. She was a retired employee of Cannon Mills and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Hinson, who died January 26, 1986; and a step-daughter, Kathleen Hinson Smith. Survivors include a step-son, Kenneth Hinson of Biscoe; a sister, Inez Whitman of Kannapolis; four grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
