Mary Elizabeth Hooper Hall

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hooper Hall, 75, of 5117 Highway 150 East, Lincolnton, died Monday, January 7, 2008, at CMC-Lincoln. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Kannapolis. The Rev. Curtis Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home. Born August 25, 1932 in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Hall was the daughter of the late Lock Millard Hooper and Maggie Marie Lunsford Hooper. She retired as a weaver from Cannon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Guy Hall; and a sister, Hazel Brotherton. Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Marie Christy Talley of Maiden, Susie Hall Davis and husband, Donnie, of Denver, Elizabeth Earlene Benfield and husband, Mark, of Lincolnton; two sons, George Levert Hall and Hubert Eugene Hall and wife, Lisa, all of Lincolnton; two sisters, Norma Louise Tate and husband, Dave Rankin, and Mildred Marie Davis and husband, Curtis, all of Kannapolis; two brothers, Jepty Hooper and Bobby Hooper and wife, Billie, all of Denver; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be sent to East Lincoln Christian Ministries, PO Box 421, Denver, NC 28037.
