Mary Elizabeth Springs

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Thomas Springs, 70, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 525 Lake Concord Road, Concord. The Rev. Tricia de Beer will officiate. Interment will follow the visitation at 2:15 pm at Elmwood Cemetery in Section R, 700 West 6th Street, Charlotte.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 pm Wednesday at All Saints Episcopal Church Family Room.

Mrs. Springs was born October 24, 1945 in Mecklenburg County. She was the daughter of the late Amos Thornton Thomas and the late Marguerite Fox Thomas. She worked for Rexham Corporation in accounts receivable and also worked in the neo-natal ward of Presbyterian Hospital as an accounts representative. Mary graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte, Class of 1963 and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She was a sweet, kind, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting and also, she was extremely fond of her two Siamese cats, Mandy and Katie. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Springs is survived by her husband of 40 years, Winborne “Win” Springs, three step-children, Sharon Bullock and husband Kyle of Pauline, SC, Rhinda Peterson and husband John of Charlotte, and Dana Yarbrough and husband Jason of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Kevin Bullock, Haley Bullock Gouge, Matthew McKee and wife Amy and Kaitlyn McKee.
