Mavoureen "Susie" Puntch Jamison

Mrs. Mavoureen "Susie" Puntch Jamison, 97, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Caremoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, February 22, 2019, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Roper and Mrs. Doris Buchannan will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jamison was born August 22, 1921 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late James Bryant Puntch, Sr. and Mae Agnes DeMarcus Puntch. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a graduate of J.W. Cannon High School and a longtime member of the Kannapolis Pilot Club.

Susie formerly worked for Whitmire's Jewelry Store, and Isabell's dress shop. Following retirement, she worked at Lady's Funeral Home & Crematory.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Jamison; two brothers J.B. Puntch, Jr. and Harold Puntch; and two sisters, Edith Boger and Hilda Wike.

Mrs. Jamison is survived by a sister, Betty Moore and husband Carl; and nieces and nephews, Suzanne Thompson, Michael Wike, Penny Moore Black and Patti Moore Stodghill.
