Mr. Max Douglas Stegall, 66, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at CHS - NorthEast in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, March 27, 2017, at Centerview Baptist Church. Rev. Willie Rash will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Stegall was born March 18, 1951 in Concord. He was a son of the late Charlie Marvin Stegall and Lavonia Helms Stegall. Before retirement, he owned and operated Cabarrus Fence Company. He was a member of Centerview Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Wayne Stegall; and a grandson, Nicholas Evick.
Mr. Stegall is survived by his wife, Dena Keene Stegall; daughter, Stephanie Evick and husband Brad of Kannapolis; son, Jeremy Stegall and wife Connie of Woodleaf; three sisters, Peggy Weast and Christine Eudy and husband Bobby, all of Concord and Barbara Slawson and husband Hugh of China Grove; brother, Charlie Wilson Stegall and wife Debbie of Rockwell; and six grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, Logan, Jonathan, Hope and Serenity.
Memorials may be sent to Centerview Baptist Church Building Fund, 415 Walter Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or to the charity of one’s choice.
