Melissa Lynn Lewis

Miss Melissa Lynn Lewis, 30, of 9620 Bostian Fisher Road, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital-Huntersville. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Miss Lewis was born August 8, 1978 in Charlotte. She was a daughter of David L. Lewis and Vickie Phillips Lewis, both of Rockwell. She was a 1997 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. She had attended UNC-Wilmington and UNC-Asheville. Before being diagnosed with cancer, she was accepted into the Pharmacy School at UNC-Chapel Hill and had worked at Rite-Aid in Chapel Hill as a certified pharmacy technician. Miss Lewis, in addition to her parents, is survived by brother, David Russell Lewis of Rockwell; sister, Tracy Lewis of Concord; maternal grandmother, Clara Mae Phillips of Burlington; and paternal grandmother, Attrice Lewis of Concord.
