Melitta Laine Spry

Mrs. Melitta Laine Brown Spry, 62, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 am Friday, November 27, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Hubbard will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am - 10:15 am Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Spry was born October 1, 1953 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Hoyt Allen Brown and Robbie Crook Brown. She worked as a weaver for Cannon Mills. Mrs. Spry greatly enjoyed watching her grandchildren play their sports.

Mrs. Spry is survived by her husband, Dennis Spry; daughter, Jennifer Spry of Tampa, FL; two sons, Shane Spry of China Grove, and Terry Spry and wife Meredith of Kannapolis; two brothers, Gary Brown of Midland, and Terry Brown of Kannapolis; sister, Latane Key of Kannapolis; and six grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Davis, and Kaleb, Trista, Michael, and Emma Spry.
