Michael Ray Blount

Mr. Michael Ray Blount, 58, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, August 3, 2026, at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Tallent will officiate. Interment will follow at West Concord Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Monday at Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Michael was born April 22, 1968 in Huntingdon, PA. He was a son of the late Hugh Blount and Madeline York Blount. He was an avid Steelers and WVA Mountaineers fan. He also enjoyed watching NCIS. Michael loved the Lord. He wasn't able to travel far due to being on oxygen and he suffered from long term health issues from childhood. But, he is finally reunited with his loved ones in heaven.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Hugh and sister, Kathy.

Michael is survived by sister, Teresa Efaw; and brother, William Blount of Concord.
