Michael Douglas Fowler

Mr. Michael Douglas "Doug" Fowler, 47, of 116 Dundee Drive, Kannapolis, died Friday, January 2, 2004, at his residence. A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Burleyson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born December 7, 1956, in Hickory, NC, he was a son of Lynn Fowler and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Withers Fowler of Kannapolis. He was a production technician with Philip Morris in Concord. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Susan Ervin Fowler; two daughters, Christie Burleyson and her husband, Jody, of Mt. Pleasant and Elizabeth Geelen and her husband, Shawn, of Harmony; a step-son, Chris Christian of Kannapolis; one sister, Sheila Harvey and her husband, Roy, of Oriental; a brother, Chris Fowler and his wife, Genene, of Salisbury; and five grandchildren.
