Michael William Smith

Mr. Michael William Smith, 50, of 4715 Old Salisbury-Concord Road, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Joseph C. Seymour, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born March 17, 1955, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Billy Max Smith of Davidson and the late Willene Sutton Smith. He was a truck driver for Watkins Motor Lines. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Crowder Smith; a daughter, Rachel Smith of Kannapolis; a son, Braxton Smith of Kannapolis; his father and step-mother, Billy Max Smith and Cathleen Kennerly Smith of Davidson; and two step-sisters, Betty Foy of Salisbury and Vernie Rainey, both of Salisbury.
