Mildred Brinkley

Mrs. Mildred Wike Brinkley, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A graveside service was held Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Norman Brisson officiated.

Mrs. Brinkley was born August 22, 1923 in Alexander County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Rom Alexander Wike and Julie Munday Wike. She worked for Duke Power. Mrs. Brinkley was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, First Baptist Church, and the VFW Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Franklin Brinkley.
